Hillel is extremely invested in student well-being. College can be both stressful and exciting, and Hillel wants to provide our students with all the resources they need to be healthy, happy, and successful.

UC Davis Student health and counseling services (SHCS)

UC Davis offers comprehensive health and counseling services that help students stay informed and healthy. These services include everything from nutrition advice to mental health resources.

Hillel is grateful to have a partnership with Rebecca Aronson (LPCC) who is the Counseling Center’s liaison to the Jewish community. If you’d like to get in touch with Rebecca or learn more about SHCS, click on learn more.

Community resource and retention centers (CRRC)

The Community Resource and Retention Centers (CRRCs) are the various centers that serve different community and identity groups on campus.

These centers are housed in the spacious Student Community Center (pictured on the left) and include the AB540 and Undocumented Student Center, the LGBTQIA Center, Student Recruitment and Retention Center, Women’s Resources and Research Center, the Middle Eastern North African and South Asia (MENASA) Student Center and the Cross Cultural Center (continue reading).

The Cross Cultural Center (CCC) is comprised of multiple staff members who coordinate services and programs for students of color and other identities. The CCC also has a directory of other student affairs offices and groups that are located elsewhere on campus.

Center for Student Involvement (CSI)

The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) oversees the many Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and assists these organizations with planning events, managing club finances, and providing opportunities for student leadership.

All of the student organizations that work with Hillel are registered with CSI.

Student disability center (SDC)

The Student Disability Center (SDC) handles accommodations for students with disabilities and ensures equal access to university educational programs. Accommodations include exam and academic services, so please reach out if you are in need of assistance.

Aggie Compass at the Basic Needs Center

Located in the Memorial Union (MU), the Basic Needs Center helps students learn about basic needs resources, such as mental wellness, nutrition, and financial management. These services also include assistance finding affordable housing and enrolling in CalFresh.

Academic Assistance and Tutoring Centers (AATC)

Did you know that AATC served more than 30% of all undergraduate students at UC Davis during the 2016-2017 year? The Academic Assistance and Tutoring Centers is here to help students achieve their maximum academic potential. Tutoring is available for writing, math, and sciences and provided by both professional staff and peer tutors.

Campus Recreation, Arts and Culture, and the UC Davis Arboretum

Campus Recreation includes a range of enriching and relaxing activities, such as the craft center and the equestrian center. UC Davis also has a gym, known as the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC), where students can take fitness classes.

Arts and culture are a huge part of campus life. UC Davis has an art museum (the Manetti Shrem Museum of Art) and a performing arts center (the Mondavi Center for Performing Arts) among many other artistic venues on campus.

One of the most popular attractions is the UC Davis Arboretum (pictured on the left). The arboretum functions as a an ecological research site and a public garden with native redwood trees. Students and visitors alike can enjoy and learn about the natural beauty of Northern California.
